Meet Our Stars

Seak CHEAK
A mother of 1 daughter from Siem Reap. She has been married for 11 years and her husband is a tuk tuk driver since he lost his job as a tour guide during the pandemic. When she was 19, she started sewing and started working from home with us in April 2022. Her future dream is to be able to generate enough income for her family and be a sewing trainer.

Phas CHHAN
She is from big family in Sonikum and moved to Siem Reap town in 2013 where she was sponsored to learn sewing and cooking by an organization. She started working for Miss SEW in 2014 and produced most of our products which she still does until now. She now cooks at a family restaurant, is a part-time tailor, and on the support team. In the future she wants to continue her dream job to be a great chef and tailor.

Moum MOUN
From Siem Reap and a mother of 2 children. Her husband is a freelance construction worker. She is the leader of sewing project in her community. Her dream is to promote and improve her sewing community to reach their highest potential as well as have a better sewing workshop for her members. She also dreams of having a better home in the future.

Alech ROEUN
She grow up in small town of Sonikum, Siem Reap province. Alech is a widow and a mother of two children. She had learn her tailor skill from any organization based in town. Because of her skill and talented, she was selected and work as main production team right after her training then become a sewing trainers. After almost 30 years experience now Alech works as cook in private schools and at the same time she manages her sewing groups of 4 other women who live in difference village ready for the big order. She enjoys working and wants to continue as her main careers in future.

Sopheak SUN
She is from Phnom Penh but has lived in Siem Reap for 10 years. Her background is in the NGO field, working for about 8 years in various development programs. In 2014, she started following her passion in designing and creativity soft furnishings and travel accessories. In 2018, inspired by timeless fashion and ethically made products in Cambodia, she founded Miss SEW. Even currently she lives in the UK she keep believe in her team and self-empowerment for their own profession.
